Itinerary

Day 1. Board our transatlantic flight.

Day 2. Arrival in SCOTLAND. We begin with a visit to STIRLING CASTLE, famed for the William Wallace uprising in the movie “Braveheart.” Continue into EDINBURGH, capital of SCOTLAND.

Day 3. Today begins with a visit to the EDINBURGH CASTLE, the very foundation of the Scottish nation. Afterwards we will visit St. Giles Cathedral and Georgian House in the New Town, a perfect example of the architecture and life of the 18th century.

Day 4. Driving south we enter the LAKE DISTRICT, famed for the Romantic Poets, beautiful lakes and mountains. We visit the lovely lake side village of Ambleside and overnight in the area.

Day 5. Southwest this morning into WALES to the town of CONWY. The CONWY FORTRESS is unrivaled for its medieval might and importance. In the town center is the TUDOR HOUSE, the best preserved example of a private16th century home in the nation. We visit both and overnight in the area.

Day 6. On to STRATFORD-UPON-AVON this morning to see Ann Hathaway´s house (she became Shakespeare´s wife) and into town to see the SHAKESPEARE BIRTHPLACE & MUSEUM. This afternoon explore this lovely town and take a walk through Avon Park. Overnight in the area.

Day 7. We drive to BATH to see this charming Georgian town with its world-famous ROMAN BATHS. Later it´s on to STONEHENGE. The massive monoliths from nearly five millennia ago still fascinate visitors today. We overnight in the area.

Day 8. LONDON is our destination today. We will walk past BUCKINGHAM PALACE, HOUSES OF PARLIAMENT, BIG BEN, WESTMINSTER ABBEY, the Churchill Statue in Parliament Square and the Thames River. This evening is the THEATER! After dinner we will attend one of London´s premier theater experiences.

Day 9. We begin today at the TOWER OF LONDON, the very essence of English history. Later we visit the BRITISH MUSEUM, TRAFALGAR SQUARE and the NATIONAL GALLERY OF ART. Tonight we have our farewell dinner and raise a pint to “merry olde England.”

Day 10. Transfer to the airport to board our transatlantic flight back to the USA.
