We will visit CAIRNS, the GREAT BARRIER REEF, RAINFORESTS, the SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE, climb the SYDNEY BRIDGE, have a SYDNEY HARBOR CRUISE, cuddle Koalas, cruise MILFORD SOUND, do the DART RIVER SAFARI and much, much more.  INCLUDES all AIR in Australia AND New Zealand (subject to change until booked; taxes additional)! Airport group transfers, first class hotel, breakfast daily, private bath, private guide and transportation/entrances to all planned sights are included. 

Day 1. Flight to AUSTRALIA!

Day 2. We lose this day when we cross the international date line but get it back again when we fly home.  

Day 3. Arrive SYDNEY, Australia, in the afternoon and overnight as an evening of extra rest. 

Day 4. CAIRNS. A morning flight takes us to the far North Coast of Australia to CAIRNS.  This afternoon we’ll explore this tropical paradise, which is right on the Pacific Ocean.  

Day 5. CAIRNS We board the Ocean Spirit for a cruise out to the GREAT BARRIER REEF.  You can snorkel the Reef or relax on the ship or the beach.  Lunch is included  today aboard ship. 

Day 6. CAIRNS Aboriginal culture is today’s theme.  We’ll have a guided tour through the Rainforest, learn the Aboriginal traditions, explore the Daintree World Heritage National Park and stop at Alexandra Lookout.  

Day 7. CAIRNS Day at leisure (finally!) Explore the town today, swim in the ocean or lagoon, cafe hop on Grafton Street, visit the Night Markets, stroll the Cairns Esplanade or enjoy drinks at the famous Woolshed Bar.

Day 8. Cairns to SYDNEY.  We fly to Sydney this morning and in the afternoon enjoy a SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE Tour.  We will learn its design and history and how it helped shape Sydney’s future.  

Day 9. SYDNEY A private boutique tour shows us the ins and outs of Sydney and the entire region.  This is an entire cultural experience!  In the afternoon, we will put on our gear and CLIMB THE SYDNEY BRIDGE, one of the great marvels of this tour!  The view from the top is spectacular.  

Day 10. SYDNEY North this morning we travel to the Featherdale Wildlife Park, where we will meet kangaroos, koalas, wallabies and wombats!  We’ll have a chance to interact with the animals and learn all about them.  This afternoon we will enjoy a 2 hour Sydney Harbor Cruise complete with on board afternoon “tea”.  

Day 11. Sydney to QUEENSTOWN, NEW ZEALAND.  We arrive in Queenstown later this morning and transfer to the hotel.  Surrounded by majestic mountains, the town is peaceful and relaxing.  Later this afternoon we will ride the aerial gondola to Bob’s Peak for a stunning panoramic view of the valley.  

Day 12. QUEENSTOWN.  Out to the Milford Sound this morning in Fiordland National Park.  We board a ship for a scenic cruise across the Sound past towering Mitre Peak to the Tasman Sea.  Lunch will be served on board.  

Day 13. QUEENSTOWN  To the small town of Glenorchy today, to join the Dart River Jet Safari into the Mt Aspiring National Park.  We will speed through a picturesque landscape filled with glaciers and ancient forests, followed by a guided walk through the forest.  Tonight we take a cruise across Lake Wakatipu in the 1912 ship TSS Earnslaw to the Walter Peak High Country Farm for a delicious gourmet BBQ dinner.  

Day 14. Queenstown to SYDNEY.  Today we fly back to Sydney for an overnight to await our return flight to the USA tomorrow.

Day 15. Sydney to the USA flights.
